One Cancer Fighter Helps Another

Earlier this month, Simon lent his artistic talents in support of the SPCA for Monterey County and their Wag & Walk Fundraiser.   The dog portrayed above, "Red", was a fighting pit bull owned by former Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick, and was rescued by this SPCA branch. Red is currently undergoing treatment for cancer,  a fight that Simon knows all too well, having won his own battle with cancer nearly four years ago.  For more on Red's story, click here.

How you can still help:  Purchase one of the above Limited Edition Canvases by July 31, 2009, and Simon will donate 5% of the sales to SPCA for Monterey County to help them with their mission to "assure compassionate and humane treatment of all animals in our community."  Most of the dogs portrayed in these canvases were rescued by the SPCA, so they carry special meaning for Simon.  We believe this art will also bring joy to anyone who loves dogs and is concerned for their well-being.
